Season 21/22 announcement

After the great success as Lucia at the Liceo in Barcelona, Serena starts the season at the Staatsoper in Berlin with her debut as Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff in a production of xx directed by Thomas Guggeis with Michael Volle in the title role.

We will see her for the first time on the stage of the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo in a new role in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, The Queen of the Night. It will be a new production by Albert Estany conducted by the Oviedo Symphony Orchestra’s principal conductor Lucas Macías Navarro.

At Christmas she will be at the Opéra de Montpellier singing as Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola, a new creation by Alicia Greggis conducted by Magnus Fryklund.

She returns to the Liceu in Barcelona to sing an opera in Russian for the first time. She will be part of the cast of The Lady of Spades directed by Dimitry Jurowski in the classical production by Gilbert Defló in the role of Priliepa.

The new production of Don Giovanni at the Staatsoper Berlin with Daniel Barenboim at the baton and Vincent Huguet as stage director, where she will make her debut in the role of Zerlina.

She will finish the season returning to The Magic Flute, this time in the role of Pamina at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
